And I Know the Artist

Last night on my way home from a consultation I saw the reddest of suns lower in the sky and exit stage West.

“I know the Creator,” I smiled, and thanked Him for the beauty of the sunset. But I was driving, wanted to get home soon so didn’t take a picture.

A few minutes later, travelling North along WI 75, the now-absent sun began to play with the clouds, changing their colors for them. I had to stop for this.

The mosquitoes loved that they had unexpected company, but I didn’t stay long, just long enough to capture this view before the sky called it a day.

Driving on, the thought came to me:

“Even when God’s painting somewhere else

and uses your western sky for His palette

— it’s pretty.”

…and I know the Artist.

I love it! When I see a gorgeous sunrise or sunset, I’m in the habit of saying, “Good Job, Lord!” as if He created it just for me! I even say, “Nice job with the pink pallette tonight, Lord!” And like you, it makes me smile! 🙂

And I too, am pleased to say “I know the Artist!”
