A House of Prayer

Today we open a discussion about prayer here on Vibrance. Watch for or click the tag “prayer” for related items as they’re introduced. I hope this will be a “slow, soaking rain” sort of discussion. I’ll do everything in my power to help it be so, in the spirit of Hebrews 10.24, Philippians 1.9-11, and 3 John 1.2-4.

Jesus quoted Isaiah, His words are recorded in all three of the synoptic gospels (Mt. 21.13; Mk 11.17; Lk 10.46)

My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.

Isaiah 56.7 NASB

Let’s open with a simple, straightforward question:

How would you say the church

(your church and the church at large)

is doing as a house of prayer?

I don’t know hoe the church is doing as a whole. I think different church’s have different levels of faith… Our church takes this all very seriously. We have prayer 5 days week plus Sunday. We have a Prayer Center and I could go on. WE still know we need to pray more.

There’s always an opportunity for promotion. Even our seats are prayed over before people sit down on Sundays.

Prayer is critical in these days.
